Tyres
Many people underestimate the importance that tyres play in keeping your
car roadworthy. Faulty tyres can affect the performance of your whole
vehicle, so they should be checked regularly. ETC offers free tyre
checks at any of our sites and we can also undertake minor
tyre repairs.
If your tyres need replacing then we can supply and fit tyres from leading brands at competitive prices.
Exhausts
ETS supplies and fits top brands of exhausts for all makes and models
of cars. We keep fast moving exhaust parts in stock ready for immediate
fitment. If we do not have the parts in stock, we are usually able to
obtain them within the hour. Getting your exhaust checked regularly can
help detect faults early and prevent major problems from building up.
All exhaust parts are aluminised steel, for longer life, and come with a two-year warranty.
We can also supply and fit catalytic converters. These help to clean
emissions from the car engine so the gas from the exhaust pipe is
predominantly carbon dioxide and water. Emissions from vehicles are now
an important part of the MOT test and all new vehicles are fitted with
catalytic converters, as required by law.
Brakes
At ETC we offer free brake checks. Our highly trained technicians will
check your vehicle’s brake pads, shoes, discs and drums and provide you
with a free no obligation quote should any work be required.
Batteries
Faulty batteries are one of the main causes of vehicle breakdowns, yet
getting your battery checked takes just a few minutes. At ETC we can
test the condition of your battery and detect any warning signs of
battery failure. Should your battery fail, we have a large number of
batteries in stock to replace it.

Four Wheel Alignment
Improper alignment is a major cause of premature tyre wear. If you ensure
that your vehicle is properly aligned then it can add thousands of miles
to a tyre’s life. Similarly, total alignment sets all four wheels
parallel which minimises rolling resistance, giving more miles to the
gallon.
If your car pulls to one side then
it is possible that the wheel alignment may be out. Many handling problems can be corrected by
total alignment, giving a smoother ride.

Servicing
It is advisable to get your car fully serviced every year, or every 12,000 miles – whichever comes first. Regular servicing maintains the condition of your car, helping to reduce the risk of breakdown and even maintain its value.
You may also consider an interim service after 6 months or 6,000 miles to ensure that your car is safe and in good condition between full services.
